Cornerstone Cafe in Ellijay

They are cheap and the service is good...but the food is not very appetizing

My husband and I stopped to eat at the Cornerstone Cafe while passing through. Food was great! Staff was friendly! Make sure you try the pancakes-one will be plenty!

This place was worth finding we where hungry and googled it and DAM!!! I will be back every time I drive by here. You have to try it you just have to. Thanks for everything and service was on spot!!

So. I went to the cornerstone this morning like I do all the time. Only to see that the menu has changed and I’ve been waiting for an hour to get my food. It isn’t even busy. Why did you guys change the menu and up your prices just for the Apple festival? No biscuit stack which is what I always get. There is a sign here that says be kind and humble.. now is price gouging being humble? This is ridiculous. This is like the 3rd time yalls menu has changed. Done with it.

Small, quaint cafe. Very friendly + attentive staff! Built my own omelet! Very tasty. Grits & biscuit with a side of gravy. Was sad there was only drip coffee... I thought I saw a picture of a latte in the reviews? But drip coffee was decent, only the room temp packaged creamer though.

Food was great and service was good but they were too busy to properly manage. But its a small local joint so i wouldnt deduct a star for that

This place was ... sooooo GOOD!!! Best thing we ate while visiting Ellijay, GA THE FLAPJACKS so fluffy and buttery 😋 all of the food was amazing, (listen it was so good that the only pic i took was of the pancake bc it came later hahaha everyone was eating without even thinking of taking a pic! That’s how good ) the sweet tea was the best I’ve had in a while. We were a large party of 10 and the service was so great, friendly and fast! Love Love the place, the decor, the FOOD and the service! If you are in the area please check this place out!

I challenge anybody to try and eat one pancake from here. Food was great service even better.

Very nice breakfast spot. The service is always friendly and accommodating and the food is fresh. I almost always get the biscuits and gravy or the smokehouse sausage. Both are fresh and taste great. If you're in Ellijay for one of the many events this is the spot for a great sit down breakfast at a great price.

Phenomenal homemade corned beef hash. Not out of a can. Family-owned. The staff was gracious.

It is a fine ,clean place to eat. The prices are moderate compared to other places I have visited. The folks are very friendly and very clean.

Delicious food with homey & cozy vibes! Service is very good as well. I tried their jalapeño popper omelette special & was in love. My boyfriend got their country fried steak & it looked & smelled so good even I had to ask for a bite of it. Can’t wait to be back!

Seated right away but took a long time before our order was taken. Coffee was not very good. Food did come out fast. Biscuits were burned on the bottom. Overall food wasn’t very good. Waitress never came back to check on us or refill drinks. Waited a long time to get the check.

The staff is less than desirable! The employees are not personable, at all! The food is WAY OVERPRICED! My husband and I were recommended this eatery by one of the locals. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYBODY! The employees attire was atrocious! To great the public you should take pride in your appearance, as these folks no nothing about!

After our third straight morning of eating in this place (yes it's that good), the owner who does the cooking, came out and thanked us for paying the months utilities. LOL. The food was delicious and I mean scrumptious. My pancake was bigger than my plate, I feel asleep halfway through eating it. The eggs, bacon, sausage and toast took me back to my childhood. Eat there and thank the reviews that sent me to this gem.

The best Pancakes! Biscuits not too shabby either. It's a small eclectic place with a good Southern menu.

When traveling around or if visiting Ellijay, GA, have breakfast here. Definitely try some type of breakfast that includes the biscuits. I had biscuits and gravy and these are the best homemade biscuits I have ever eaten. Very big, but light in texture, these biscuits are out of this world delicious. The bacon was thick and salty, just right. The rest of our breakfast was great, too. Highly recommend this place.

Egg way overcooked and burnt. Was chopped up to look more scrambled. Due to past reviews, didn't bother complaining about getting it right. First and last visit to this place. Cute place, very well decorated and iike the table settings. I so wanted to love this place.

This is a good old country place. If you want authenticity- this is the place for you. The food here is nicely done and our server was nice and very quick! I cannot say the same for all the servers, but ours was good. The coffee is not great, but again decent food. Also you can naturally tell the coffee isn't great when one of the lazy servers drinks dunkin right in view of the guests. Ha!

We love this home cooked restaurant!! We have been coming here for many many years! I love the hospitality of the servers, the food is perfect!

I am a local. I eat breakfast @ cornerstone everyday. The best breakfast in town hands down! Their wait staff is very friendly and the prices are much cheaper than Waffle House. Be sure to check them out next time youre in town.

Service and food was amazing!

Was visiting for a few days and decided to stop in for breakfast. Was not disappointed at all. Staff was great and inviting. Service was quick and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. Will definitely eat there again next time I'm in town.

Felt like we discovered a jewel! Friendly waitstaff, cozy atmosphere, and excellent food. Pancakes were huge and very light.

Cute place. Staff seems to try. Cooks peer into dining area. That might be why my eggs came to the table well done with a light brown crust. My husbands omelet also had a brown crust. Biscuits looked amazing but I think they were old. The edges were hard. Bacon was good. I am pretty sure the gravy is from a can. Grits were ok not creamy but everyone likes them different. We only stayed in this area for two days. If we come back I will cook where we are staying. This was only place we could find for breakfast.
